Power of 10 Rankings
The Power of 10 handicap scoring system is designed to give runners of all abilities the ability to benchmark their progress and compare their results across a range of distances and terrains. Each runner is given a handicap score based on their race performances, which allows a direct comparison of the current form of different runners to be made.
Since 2006, the Power of 10 has been a driving force behind the steady rise in UK athletics performances — from school tracks to the Olympic stage. Its mission is simple but powerful: to motivate athletes of all ages by setting clear performance targets and providing a trusted system to track results, rankings and progress year after year.
