We are a long-established
road, cross country and fell running club and welcome men and women of
all abilities. We currently have a membership of around 200. We meet at the
National Watersports

Thursdays except bank holidays.
Summer
League
The
Summer League continues on Wednesday 14th May at the National
Watersports Centre. Let's keep our good start to the series going by
getting as many people out to run as we can! If you need any extra
incentive, it's about the flattest 5 mile course you'll find, so it's a
real PB course.

Derek
Dent 1936-2008
It
is with great sadness that we have learnt of the sudden death of one of
our founding members, Derek Dent, at the age of 71. William
Scott and Tony Barry are now dedicating their John O'Groats to Lands End
run in memory of Derek and raising money for prostate cancer research.

The Big One - Mission Accomplished!
To
celebrate our 25th anniversary, we completed our mammoth relay
of the length and breadth of the country, from Lands End and
Berwick-upon-Tweed to Nottingham. Thanks to all of you who took part and
to Derek for having the idea in the first place and for taking on the task
of carrying it through. Thanks also to the landlord of the Test Match for
the excellent spread laid on for us at the finish.
If anyone took photos
along the way or can write a report about their leg of the route, please email them and I'll get them on the site.
A
reports section is starting to take shape on The
Big One page.
Lots
more photos now on the experimental Big One photo gallery.
